東京ヤクルトスワローズの2025年のスローガンが「捲土重来2025」とのこと。
「捲土重来(けんどちょうらい)」とは、一度失敗したり敗れたりした後に、再び勢いを取り戻し、巻き返しを図ることを意味する言葉です。この表現は、特に逆境からの立ち直りやリベンジを強調するときによく使われます。
もともとは中国の故事成語で、「土煙を巻き上げて再び戻ってくる」という情景から生まれた表現です。このため、単なる再挑戦というよりも、大きな力を蓄え、以前よりも強い姿で戻ってくるニュアンスが込められています。ビジネスやスポーツ、人生の場面などで、逆転劇や再起を語る際に使われることが多いです。
