岡田紗佳 Mリーグで涙の初トップ！「最後トップが取れてよかった」 今季は“失言騒動”で炎上
モデルでプロ雀士の岡田紗佳（30）が、25日のMリーグで今季初トップを獲得した。試合後のインタビューでは涙のコメントを残した。
今日のMリーグでは、サクラナイツの岡田紗佳が出場。今季初めて1位を取った。インタビューアーの襟川がインタビューで泣いていたのを見て、かつ岡田がもらい泣きしているのを見て、こちらももらい泣きをしてしまった。
失言はあったが、プロは結果がすべて。麻雀はやればわかるが、どんなに下手くそでも10回に1回は1位が取れるゲームだ。もちろん、1位から4位までの順位が必ず付くので、2位や3位を負けと取るかどうかはあるものの。上手い人は1位は取れなくても2位をキープすることで(連対)、トータルで負けない麻雀をする。ただ、上手い人でも運が悪ければ勝てない。
今季は運も悪く今日まで1位がなかったわけだが、そりゃシーズン後半でやっと勝てたらうれしいだろうね。失言以降試合にも出ず、今期で契約終了？とも言われながらのプレッシャーは半端ない中で出ているわけで。そりゃ涙も出るわ。
まあ、いろいろあっても麻雀普及には貢献しているわけで、麻雀歴36年の自分としては、面白ければいいやと思って今期も9割がたMリーグを見ています。レギュラーシーズンはあと2日で終わり。3チームが次のステージにはいけないのでハラハラドキドキです。
いずれ年取ったら雀荘経営したいとまじめに思っています。
20歳の時に雀荘にこもっていた時にお世話になったオーナーさん、多分もう亡くなっていると思うけど、学生相手に楽しそうだったので。そんな夢があります。

Of course, since the rankings always go from first to fourth, whether you consider second or third place as a loss depends on perspective. Skilled players may not always take first place, but by consistently placing second (staying in the top two), they ensure they don’t lose in the long run. However, even the best players can’t win if luck isn’t on their side.
This season, her luck has been bad, and she hadn’t won a single match until today. Understandably, she must be thrilled to have finally won in the latter half of the season. After the controversy over her comment, she wasn’t even playing in matches, and there were rumors that her contract might not be renewed after this season. Playing under that kind of pressure is no joke. No wonder she cried.
Well, regardless of everything that happened, she has contributed to the popularity of mahjong. Having played for 36 years myself, I watch about 90% of the M-League matches each season, simply because I enjoy it. The regular season has only two days left. Three teams won’t make it to the next stage, so the excitement and tension are high.
Honestly, I’m seriously thinking about running a mahjong parlor when I get older. Back when I was 20 and spent all my time at a mahjong parlor, the owner took care of me. He’s probably passed away by now, but I remember how much fun he had running a place for students. That’s a dream I still have.
