小中高10年間広島に住んでいたので(実家は今も広島にあります)、8月6日の平和祈念式典は毎年のように見ます。平和祈念式典にNHK放送児童合唱団のメンバーとして参加していたこともあります。
今年の石破総理のスピーチは、一度たりとも顔を上げず、ただ原稿を読むだけのもの。こんなものは誰の心にも響かないな、と正直映像を見ていても気分の良いものではありませんでした。
誰かが書いた文章をただ読むだけ、AIに書かせた文章をアップしただけ、先人の書いた文章を引用しただけでは人の心に響かない。
話や文章を人の心に響かせるためには、拙くても自分の言葉で伝えること、自分の意見が盛り込まれていることが大事であると改めて学びました。そうしなければ「自分である必要がない(ほかの人でもよい)」ですからね。
「あなたにお願いしたい」「あなたにお願いしてよかった」そんな人に心からなりたい。
I lived in Hiroshima for ten years during elementary, junior high, and high school (my family still lives there), so I watch the Peace Memorial Ceremony every year. I also once had the honor of participating in the ceremony as a member of the NHK Tokyo Children’s Choir.
This year, Prime Minister Ishiba’s speech was disappointing. He didn’t look up even once, simply reading from his script. Watching the footage, I couldn’t help but feel that such a speech would never touch anyone’s heart.
Just reading something written by someone else, just posting something generated by AI, or merely quoting words from the past—none of these will resonate with people on an emotional level.
What truly moves people is speaking in your own words, no matter how unpolished, and expressing your own thoughts. Without that, there’s no reason it has to be you—it could be anyone else.
I want to be someone who others say, “I want you to do it,” and afterward say, “I’m glad you were the one who did it.” That’s the kind of person I aspire to be.
