国税収が過去最高７５兆円台、２４年度・５年連続で更新へ…物価高で消費税や法人税が伸びる
２０２４年度の国の一般会計の税収が７５兆円台となる見通しになったことが３０日、わかった。２３年度（７２兆７６１億円）を上回り、５年連続で過去最高を更新する。物価高を受けて消費税収が伸びたことに加え、好調な企業業績を反映して法人税収も増加した。
今日は決算申告が終わり、法人税、消費税、源泉税などもろもろ払ってきましたよ。一生懸命働いても、一気にこの季節はお金が無くなっていくので凹みます。納税は国民の義務とは言いますが、それにも限度はありますよ。
どこかの幹事長が消費税を死守するとかわけのわからないことを言っていましたが、死守すべきは金ではなく国民の安全である。たまに「国を変えたい」と思い選挙に出たいと考える事もあるが、いかんせん勉強していなさ過ぎて無理だ。叔父がどちらかというとそちら寄りの仕事をしていたことや、いとこが国家権力のかなり上のほうにいるので、血なのかもしれないが、父親の影響が大きく、しがない中小企業の経営者である。
National Tax Revenues to Hit a Record ¥75 Trillion in FY2024, Fifth Straight Annual High—Consumption and Corporate Taxes Bolstered by Rising Prices
It was reported on the 30th that Japan’s general‐account tax revenues for fiscal 2024 are expected to exceed ¥75 trillion. This will surpass the ¥72.0761 trillion collected in FY2023 and mark a record high for the fifth consecutive year. Higher consumer‐price levels have driven up consumption‐tax receipts, and robust corporate earnings have lifted corporate‐tax revenues as well.
Today I finished filing my year‐end returns and paid out corporate tax, consumption tax, withholding tax, and all the rest. No matter how hard I work, I always get deflated this time of year when my money vanishes in one fell swoop. They say paying taxes is a citizen’s duty, but surely there must be a limit.
Some party secretary‐general was going on about “defending the consumption tax” as if it were sacred—which makes no sense. What really needs defending is the safety and well‐being of the people, not the tax rate. Sometimes I think, “I’d like to change this country,” and toy with the idea of running for office, but I simply haven’t studied enough to make it happen. Maybe politics runs in my blood—my uncle did that kind of work, and a cousin of mine holds a fairly senior position in government—but I’ve been shaped most of all by my father, and I’m just a humble owner of a small‐to‐medium enterprise.
