4月30日で決算となるため、明日からは13期に突入となります。大きな会社ではありませんが、それなりに有名な企業様との仕事をさせてもらっている部分もあり、つぶさないことで社会貢献をしているのかなと思っています。
決算とは、企業が一定期間における経営活動の成果を数字で明らかにすることですが、決算を通じて、会社の経営成績や財政状態を把握することができます。今期はおせじにもすごいよかったというわけではないですが、終わってみると毎年同じようなところに着地します。結局売上よりも利益率を大事にしているので、大きな売上を得るよりも、いかに効率的かつあまり外部に出さずに対処するかを目指しています。
そのため、外注比率は少なく限られたスタッフで賄っています。結局能力が高い人が数人いればよく、ボランティアではないので、能力のあまり高くない人にまで配慮をするのはうちクラスの会社ではできません。
最近は生成AIをうまく活用し、仕事の効率を高める努力をしています。生成AIは誰もが使いこなせるものではなく、知識のある人、能力のある人にしか使えないと思います。どんなよのなかも、その道に長けた人にしか恩恵が得られないものなので、生成AIを気軽に使うというよりは、どっぷり研究して自分の分身を作るぐらいの思いで使ってみるとよいのではないかと思います。
As our fiscal year ends on April 30, we will be entering our 13th term starting tomorrow. While we are not a large company, we have had the opportunity to work with some well-known clients, and I believe that simply continuing our operations is, in a way, contributing to society.
A fiscal year-end, or “settlement of accounts,” is when a company discloses the financial results of its business activities over a certain period. Through this process, we can understand our financial health and business performance. This year wasn’t particularly outstanding, but as always, we’ve ended up landing in roughly the same place as previous years. Since we prioritize profit margins over sheer sales volume, our focus is on operating efficiently and minimizing external outsourcing.
As such, we keep our outsourcing ratio low and manage our work with a small, capable team. In the end, a few highly skilled individuals are all that’s really needed. Since we are a business and not a volunteer organization, we cannot afford to make accommodations for those who are not sufficiently capable.
Lately, we’ve been making efforts to improve our efficiency by effectively utilizing generative AI. I believe generative AI is not something just anyone can use well—it requires knowledge and ability. In any field, it’s only those who are truly skilled who can reap the benefits. Rather than casually using AI, I think it’s more meaningful to immerse yourself in it—to the point of creating your own digital twin.
